The opening of Near You has a sour note of Yuzu – a popular Japanese fruit that looks like a lemon. The Yuzu is less acidic than lemon though and is much fruitier. The vetiver and the sweet mandarin give an earthy undertone to the whole scent. With time, the sandalwood becomes prominent, giving the perfume a spiciness and a masculine character.
